Gerardo M. Soto is a native to San Jose. He started out his early career at age 19 just before the big real estate boom preceding the dot-com bust in 2001. He began working with other elite Realtors within his community and worked his way up to being a top producing agent at Coldwell Banker.
But his vision did not stop there. Gerardo pursued his dream and earned his broker’s license with the intention of opening his own office. Soto Real Estate & Investments, Inc. was established on January 4th, 2006 as a real estate and mortgage firm. In his first year, he exceeded everyone’s expectations and became a predominant force within the real estate and mortgage community.
By the following year in 2007, Gerardo opened his next investment company with a partner to form Lear Capital Investments, LLC. Lear is dedicated to purchasing distressed properties and renovating them into “like-new” homes. It is one of the few development companies still actively operating despite the economic turmoil in the industry.
By 2011, Gerardo took over Lear Capital Investments, LLC. and was actively managing both companies. He has helped clients with any Real Estate needs whether it was a purchase, listing, short sale transaction, purchase loan, refinance, or managing rental properties. His vision is to continue to grow his investment firm to work with various investors and take on mega commercial projects.
Gerardo graduated in 2004 from Santa Clara University and holds a bachelor degree in the field of Finance, Economics, and a minor in International Business. He went onto and received his Master Degree in Economics in 2011 from San Jose State University. His hobbies include traveling to different parts of the world and competing in salsa dancing.
